I woke up like this

I've been so busy since I moved it's crazy. But it's been a good thing! Except for when I got sick, that kind of sucked and I ended up upping my carbs eating chicken noodle soup and crackers and BFF Heather's Turkey Barley soup and popcorn until I felt better. Unfortunately, it was a lot harder to be strict with Keto AFTER all that. I've had horrible cravings like I did on my first few weeks of low carb back in July/August and it's been rough. But I've ditched the popcorn and made a plan.

The biggest factors were what you'd expect:

1. higher blood sugar - though not as high as 50lbs ago
2. weight gain - I bumped back up into the low 230s, which isn't horrible but definitely was annoying.
3. energy loss and hunger/carb cravings - fucking popcorn always gets me
4. greater inflammation systemically - this was also influenced my running out of CBDs and not taking my vitamins regularly. I'm back on that wagon too.

And, in literally 2 days of being far more strict about keto with about 4 days of doing it half-assed, I'm down to 227.2 today and my blood sugars have been as low as 80, with nothing over 130. Which just confirms what I already know - this is the way my body does best.

I also found a new grocery store - though I'm not deserting Aldi! - called Joe V's. It's the closest grocery store and is kind of a cross between an Aldi and a warehouse store but with only HEB brands. The produce, meat, dairy and frozen versions of those are very well stocked - everything else is kind of hit or miss. But since it seems to cater more to the Latino community, I can get as many poblano peppers as my little heart could desire. They also have these amazing meat boxes - which look to be a regular thing - for $20. I'm including pictures of it all.

There were 3 options but I got bundle #1 which included chicken drumsticks, seasoned fajita beef, seasoned fajita thighs, ground beef, and seasoned boneless pork ribeye chops. Total value was over 32$ and it's a super easy way to buy for keto or low carb - provided you're not a veggie.

I'm pretty sure I have at least 2 weeks of meat and a nice variety of proteins too.
